Their motto is "Run Happy," how can you argue with that?
Your running shoes might be the most important part of your run. These are the one thing that I will splurge on big time when it comes to my running gear. I have not always been such a proponent of quality running shoes. I would typically go for the ones that stood out to me the most in the store. That doesn't always translate into good support for your feet. I started running back when I was in grad school (2008-2010). I really picked it up seriously in 2011, which is when I started to experience some ankle problems. The bottom line- the shoes I had just weren't right for my stride.
I was introduced to Luke's Locker and have honestly never looked back. I always encourage new runners to go to a store similar to Luke's and have them analyze your stride. Their experts will put you in the right pair of shoes. They have a small track that runs through the middle of their store, and they have you run up and down a couple of times. Their experts watch you and give you several options to choose from (in all different price ranges) based on how you run. How great is that?
Needless to say, I bought my first pair of the Brooks Glycerin back in 2011 and these have been my go-to shoe ever since. Brooks' other running gear is pretty cool too. Their dri-fit tops have the best fit out of any other company I have found and I love their tank tops!
That being said, they had their major sale this week, so I ordered a pair Monday afternoon, and they already made it my way (hello great customer service)! Check these bad boys out. I already tried them out in bootcamp last night! These might be my most favorite pair ever- LOVE the color!
Bright colors make me happy! |
So, I wanted to leave you with Happy Friday, and if you feel like you need a new pair of running shoes- their sale is still going on. Click HERE. I might even buy myself a second pair :)
